WHAT IS GEORGE JENKINS JROTC?
The George Jenkins JROTC Program teaches high school students about citizenship, leadership, and discipline. It puts importance on the learning of necessary skills that are required for students after they graduate from high school. While in this program, cadets build their character and can become excellent leaders. Our mission in JROTC is to motivate young people to be better citizens.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Our cadets can apply for the U.S. Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) scholarships, which provide full financial assistance for college tuition and mandatory education fees (or room and board). Additionally, scholarship winners receive a tax-free subsistence allowance for up to 10 months a year at a rate of $420.00 per month and $1200 annually for textbooks, classroom supplies, and equipment.
